Woody Burton Ed. D.


I am currently serving as the Special Education Director for DCBOE. I began serving the district in 2016 as the Dickson Middle School Principal. I obtained my Ed. D. in 2015, my M. Ed. in School Leadership in 2009, and my M.A.T. in 2007 all from Trevecca Nazarene University. I also obtained my BS. in Organizational and Business Management from Bethel College in 1999.

I am currently serving as the Special Education Coordinator for DCBOE. I began teaching in Dickson County as a special education teacher in 2014. I have an undergrad in Special Education K-12, a masters in Vision Impairments, a masters in Applied Behavior Analysis, and Ed. S. in Accountability and Instructional Leadership. I am a Certified Teacher of Students with Vision Impairments and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
